Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis 

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for working with the controller of the company, reviewing financial statements, forecasting, cash flow analysis, budgeting and financial analysis including the following key activities: 

• Conduct the review and analysis of monthly financial statements and balance sheet.
• Lead in the preparation of annual budgets, including the balance sheet. 
• Track monthly actual sales and forecasts, and margin budgets versus actual.
• Produce and update annual and quarterly cashflows.
• Understand inventory and assist operating and sales team to control stock vs. target.
• Assist Global Sales and Operations with cost/expense analysis. 
• Implement processes and procedures within the organization to ensure global teams have financial visibility on relevant areas.
• Support the business leaders to analyze which product lines have the highest profit margin and contribute the most to net profit.  Understanding of the cost and revenue and profit generated by each distribution channel within the company.
• Help produce Ad-hoc reports as requested to provide more detailed look into certain channels or areas of spending.
• Provide and help create information for potential investors.
• Follow up and help all members of management to understand variances from plan and how they can be modified to be achieved. This follow-up should be continuous.
• Communicate effectively and positively with all teams and colleagues.
• Help promote a positive working atmosphere within the company

Requirements

Role Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent
• Fully certified CPA a plus
• Familiar with QuickBooks™ Software
• 5 – 7 years’ experience, preferably within consumer goods
• Understanding of UK market, VAT, and international trading beneficial
• Must have a high level of attention to detail and excellent skills in Excel
• Entrepreneurial mindset, with strong analytical and team skills
• Driven to achieve results and improvements.
• Must be a team player, able to work across all functions
• Role will be hybrid with 2-3 office days in New Canaan headquarters
