Responsibilities

The VP Sales will be the strategic advisor and expert responsible for overseeing the development and execution of sales strategies that support profitable revenue growth for the wholesale channel, including and not limited to – large retail stores, large on-line channels for luxury beauty products.

This role will focus on new business acquisition as well as current account expansion.  The VP, Sales, will incorporate brand objectives, strategies, shopper and category insights and customer requirements that integrate, align, and achieve goals to drive sales growth. 

Develop and Execute North America Sales Targets and Strategy

Partner with marketing to ensure the execution of programs and events to drive channel leads, pipeline and deal progression

Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding revenue growth within those partners.

Delivery of revenue goals by building a pipeline and closing new sales partnerships

Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management including commercial terms of partnership agreements, detailed and accurate sales forecasting

Recruit and develop Account Manager/s as needed

Partner and coach field leaders to drive results in company KPIs

Oversee commercial sales organization success and business outcomes providing feedback and recommendations to the shareholders to optimize and drive sales rep performance

Identify training needs, establish training targets and scorecards, and organize and promote training events

Build and execute national channel strategies by category and geography, creating and presenting sales plans that define the company's value proposition, setting milestones, measuring performance, and being accountable for results to executive leadership

Requirements

Qualifications

MUST HAVE CURRENT BUYER RELATIONSHIPS AND DISTRIBUTORS RELATIONSHIPS

  • Must have current sell in and sell through experience*
  • Minimum 8 years and max of 12 years of experience growing and developing field development staff in areas of sales success, delivering business initiatives, quarterly plans, budgets, and performance targets
  • 5 plus years of B2B Sales experience within cosmetics/skincare/ - Demonstrated track record partnering with beauty brands to identify opportunities based on their unique product portfolio
  • Accomplished leader with proven experience in building, managing, and scaling high-performing national and global partnerships teams, within a B2B Enterprise model
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and close large accounts through partners, selling a combination of products and services
  • Outstanding track record of consistently meeting/exceeding revenue and corporate objectives
  • Ability to implement sales development initiatives, sales metrics, and goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record of establishing business partnerships to deliver outstanding service
  • Approachable and warm demeanor, ability to influence (in the field as well as at the C-level), and ability to manage through ambiguity
  • Passion for innovation and bias for action
  • Executive presence and experience
