Company Overview
Collective Wellbeing was founded in 2004 to make innovative and truly efficacious natural beauty products that address our consumers’ beauty concerns.
Our Mission:
*To make beauty products that enhance the wellbeing of those who use them and, through the collective choices of the people who interact with our company, improve the world we live in.
* To set a new level of social responsibility among beauty brands.
We make about 60 products for face, body and hair. Our products are available nationwide in about 1,200 points of sale. Key accounts are Whole Foods, Pharmaca, and specialty retail. Our consumer is (predominately) female, 18-45, college educated, environmentally and socially aware.
We give back to organizations that are actively working to improve our environment:
* Through our membership in One Percent for the Planet, we donate at least 1% of our revenues to environmental causes.
* We offset all carbon emissions from operations, including the emissions created by employee travel and shipments of our products to retailers and consumers.
What sets us apart:
* We make safe and effective beauty products that perform as promised.
* We have a loyal, vocal customer base. Our consumers love our brand!

Company History
2001: Founders note lack of quality natural beauty products.
2001-2004: We hunker down with the best cosmetic chemists, dermatologists, naturopaths, molecular biologists, environmentalists to figure out how to make better products and form a more perfect company.
2004. We launch 40 items to the welcoming arms of natural products retailers across the US.
2005. We are the first to solve the problem of making paraben-free products.
2007. We make a natural acne treatment kit that actually works. Awards follow.
2009. You join the team. Time to kick up a notch!

Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
1. At vanguard of beauty product development, specifically:
* Catalyst for other natural products marketers to evolve to using INCI compliant ingredient listings. We moved an entire industry toward the light!
* FIRST beauty product company to remove parabens from all formulations (completed in 2005).
* First natural beauty company to focus on product performance--we deliver high efficacy in anti-aging and acne treatments, for example, using natural, active materials.
* First to use a "cradle to cradle" formulating philosophy. 500+ ingredients: We know where it all comes from and how it's made, and what its footprint looks like.
2. Set new standards for corporate responsibility:
* FIRST consumer products company and ONLY beauty brand to become a member of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), through which we are legally bound to offset all carbon emissions from operations.
* FIRST beauty brand to join 1% for the Planet. It's our pledge to donate 1% of revenue to environmental non-profits every year.
