Company Profile

MAKE UP FOR EVER

Company Overview

MAKE UP FOR EVER was founded in 1984 by DANY SANZ and JACQUES WANEPH to create products for professional makeup artists for every style of makeup, from basic to totally outlandish.

DANY SANZ is now Artistic Director of the brand, creating the different looks and products that have earned MAKE UP FOR EVER a huge following the world over.

As an art school student, Dany's love of theater and cinema drew her to stage makeup and special effects. She subsequently ran a professional makeup school for seven years.

In 1984, DANY SANZ decided to open a store catering to makeup professionals on Rue de la Boétie in Paris' chic 8th arrondissment. It didn't take long for the brand to become a veritable cult among makeup artists.

LVMH, the world's leading luxury group, acquired MAKE UP FOR EVER in 1999. The company now has a hundred employees in France and enjoys a high profile at Sephora stores in Europe and the United States, as well as major department stores in Asia and the Middle East, where the brand has been tremendously successful.

The range now counts over 1,000 products, including foundations, eye shadows, lipsticks, gloss, body makeup, eyeliner pencils, loose powders, cleansers, brushes, false eyelashes, glitter and much more.

In 2002, DANY SANZ opened the MAKE UP FOR EVER ACADEMY in Paris, a professional makeup training center where she shares her "passion for makeup".
